I dreamed I had moved to some city. I’m not sure where. My family bought a house, and I was planning to move into it. It was an old house, a nice big house, like a colonial or antebellum. It was affordable for being a big house. Like we felt we got a good deal. There were lots of nice, big, old houses like this is this neighborhood. We took some pictures of it, and what appeared to be a ghost of a dark haired woman dressed in clothing of an old time period showed up in the photos. We thought it was a ghost. We thought it was neat, though it did make me a little scared to move in. Later in the dream, I’d met some new people who ended up feeling like friends. It felt so neat to maybe be meeting some new friends I liked. We started hanging out and I think someone was after us. I can’t remember. It’s like we were trying to get away, to get to safety. We were switching between different cars for some reason. Anyway, later in the dream, I was telling them about the home I planned to move into. I showed them the pictures. They all became very quiet. I was like, what? Please tell me. They seemed like they hesitated out of sadness, fear, and not wanting to make me sad. Finally they said that in the houses in that part of town had horrible things done to the people in them by barbarians who invaded. They said the woman in that picture was a victim of it all. They said her soul was captured in that house, that it wasn’t a ghost. Oddly they specifically said she wasn’t a ghost, but that her soul was captured. It weighed on them heavily. They said that’s why those houses run so cheap. Horrible things happened there. They warned me against moving in. I said there must be some way we can save her.
